Dry ends and growing hair

Went for a trim yesterday. I wanted to keep length as much as poss but he's cut loads off because it was dry and split.

Can anyone recommend products for heat protection so i can regrow as healthily as possible when I use straighteners a lot?

Olaplex left on overnight once a week.

Thanks @KrampusTime. Ordered!

Really unimpressed with how much he's cut off. Hoping this helps it appear to grow quicker!

Kerastase (think spelt right) is good for my hair, the intensive hair conditioner in a yellow tub. Lasts for ages too.

A good diet I also thinks speeds up growing and makes hair shiny. Plenty off eggs and spinach.

MikeUniformMike · 24/12/2019 19:22

The cutting the ends off won't make it grow faster, but if the ends were badly split they'd probably snap off anyway.
It probably looks better, but it's annoying when they cut too much off.

Yes Phillip Kingsley 'Elasticiser' and Aveda 'damage remedy'.

RandomMess · 25/12/2019 12:03

You need to take good care of your hair, the following damage it:

Poor diet
Bobbles/tying it up
Hairdryer
Straightening
Too much washing it

RandomMess · 25/12/2019 12:04

Hair products for styling it
Over brushing

Prenatal vitamins

Sometimes it's not as simple as eating well. I eat eggs and spinach every day yet having two babies close together has changed my hair so much. Olaplex is really good. Also nioxin do some great products.

haverhill · 25/12/2019 12:50

Biotin makes my hair and nails grow quickly.
Try co-washing. I have —old— longish dyed hair and if I do say so myself, it has a lovely gloss since I started co-washing half the time.

Mumteedum · 26/12/2019 23:16

Some good tips. I know that straighteners are my bad thing but I look like a cave woman without so it's tricky. Olaplex ordered though so I'll give it a go. Will also Google more vitamins though take iron and eat fairly healthily anyway

ditch the straighteners OP, that'll be what's causing it

LorKell · 27/12/2019 15:26

Which olaplex is a the leave in? There are so many numbers!!

lexiepuppy · 27/12/2019 15:52

Yes, I want to know which olaplex to use as there are a lot of numbers and I’m confused!
Is it good for curly hair?

Lonecatwithkitten · 27/12/2019 16:24

Have Kebelo straightening treatment you won't need the straighters and the keratin improves the condition of the hair.
You don't get rain frizz either.

LorKell · 27/12/2019 16:57

Can you do the kabelo treatment at home ??
