Makeup Brush Cleaning

I've started having pimples much more regularly lately and I'm wondering if my probably very grubby makeup brushes are to blame. What do you all use/recommend to clean your brushes? Thanks!

I wash mine in baby shampoo every week or so.

I use hot soapy water and a liquid brush cleaner, which I think I got from Wilkinson's.
It's a pita though - I miss using those little sponge applicators which I never cleaned

I have the stylpro thing (I think that’s how you spell it)! It cleans them and then spins them really fast so they dry instantly. The amount of dirt that comes off is grim but also so satisfying!

Either mild shampoo or Mac brush cleaner.

Yes, I second baby shampoo and leave them to dry naturally.

Washing up liquid.

Thanks everyone, I think I've been overthinking it a bit! Very tempted by the spinny thing though..

I use whatever liquid soap I have at the moment and a brush cleaning mat from Sigma. It has suction cups on the bottom and I attach it in the sink and clean the brushes on that. Works well for me.

I use face wash as I fugured if it gets makeup off my face it will get it off the brushes but looks like I should be using something milder!

Micellar water in a shot glass or egg cup releases the make up instantly, then rinse in water and leave to dry.
