Any 'cure' for age spots?

I'm getting on a bit, and have started to see the age spots appearing on my hands and face. I try to use factor 50 (when I remember) daily, but living in a slightly warmer climate than the UK, is summer has been particularly hot and sunny.

So, so I just put up and cover up, or have any of you found anything that lightens or reduces them in any way..

I've had a small amount of success with microneedling & dermaplaning, which has reduced the larger age spots in about 6 weeks. Also a big fan of The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution, which helps skin appearance generally by exfoliating, but use with caution.

Mine has reduced using the ordinary 1% retinol with Squalane

If you really want to go for it, you could visit a derm and get hydroquinine.

I had IPL a few years ago for ones on my chest and hands. It zapped them completely. Since then I’ve used the Ultrasun anti-pigmentation spf 50 whenever in the sun and they haven’t come back.

Thanks everyone, I'll start slow with thise things I can buy off the Internet. Living in the French countryside, there doesn't seem to be much microplaning going on!
