Rieker boots- are they just for winter?

I've been lusting over rieker boots for a while now and am almost ready to take the plunge, but the one thing that's putting me off is that they all look quite wintery. I'm worried that they'll be too warm for summer, or that they'll just look wrong when worn in the middle of the year. Am I being silly?

Would you normally wear boots in summer? If so then I guess they are no different form any other boots. I have Doc Martens bit don't usually wear them much in summer time. I usually switch to sandals and trainers from around May - September but that's just because I can't bear having hot feet!

Wellie boots are the only type of boot to be worn in the summer.

I have a pair of docs which I do wear in the summer, and I also wear Chelsea boots and ankle boots during the summer but they look dressier. Tbh if I'm not in trainers or flats then you'll find me in boots, regardless of the season

Why do you wear boots in summer? Do you live in Scotland?

Be careful which ones you buy as the ones I bought are fur lined inside. I didn't know, but then I bought them for winter wear so doesn't matter.
