What jacket/cardigan over this dress?

Bought this dress from Asos. Planning to wear to christening and then meal out. I've got a warm coat that could go over it. But i get really cold, any ideas of a cardigan or jacket (that can be worn indoors without looking weird) that would work over the top?

Hello tihsho, lovely dress. Would you like something with a bit of colour? Try the Cotton Rib Bolero by Kettlewell (£29.50). They sort their colours by the type of complexion you have. Does that sound like something you are interested in?

Its very low cut for christening. I would wear a pink same shade as the pattern in like a roll neck lobg sleeve top or body or even a black polo under.

I'd be curious to look for a dress or outfit that suited winter more. Either a skirt suit and/or something in a fine wool. The dress you've chosen is pretty, but by the time you winterise it you could have been a lot more comfortable in an already weather appropriate outfit?

Black tights and a small black round neck cardi would be nice for christening . Its not low cut unless you wear a push up padded bra imho. For night out a cropped leather biker.

Ahhh, wear a top underneath. That's an interesting idea, hadn't considered that. I'm definitely going to wear thick tights and then either ankle or knee high black heeled boots.
Thanks for the suggestions, will have a look at some ideas.

It’s not too low cut for a christening, not really low cut at all, just a standard v neck. Unless you are very large busted it won’t need a top underneath. You will know when you try it on.

I would style exactly like you with ankle boots and black tights.

Cropped black cardigan would be work, pale pink would be nice too but likely difficult to source at this time of year.

I'd wear a blazer/jacket that's cut to the waist but i'm not really a cardi person.
