Ugg-a-likes - where you find them?

I can’t justify spending £120 plus on a pair of Uggs that I know I will kill by the end of the winter. Usually I’d get some in Tesco’s or the like but they just don’t seem to have them this year. Any ideas where I can get something similar for under £30?

Argh title should have said ‘where CAN you find them?’ 🙈😳

Cheaper ones would be destroyed in one year you’re right, but if you can afford the real ones, they’ll last years. Total false economy to buy cheap when it comes to this kind of boot. Cheaper ones won’t be sheepskin either, which is the whole point.

If you get Uggs or Emus they will last you far longer (well over a year )

And because they have a proper supporting heelcup , you don't get the hideous over pronation that you get with the rubbishy ones .

I walk behind people where they are walking on the inner side , they'd be as well wearing a pair of thick socks .

(My Pet Hate . Apart from ballet pumps . And Fecking Heelies )

Tk Maxx is usually great for winter boots like these

Napqueen1234 · 11/12/2019 17:27

Back in 2003 (and they should stay there!). Get a nice pair of ankle boots!

CatToddlerUprising · 11/12/2019 17:47

Primark- between £5-£7. They are pretty good

GahWTF · 11/12/2019 17:59

I must admit I no longer wear my uggs in public. They are fantastic slippers though, sooooooo warm!

fruitpastille · 11/12/2019 18:03

Tk max have some. Proper sheepskin, mine were 37.99. I had to hunt quite a bit to find some without silly ribbons etc.

Mollypolly2610 · 11/12/2019 18:28

Got mine in Costco. Kirkland. Excellent boots. I think they were £40.

Puffty · 11/12/2019 18:49

I second Costco. The kids ones go up to a UK 5 which fit my size 6 feet. Bargain at under £20 as no VAT

Cecilia2016 · 11/12/2019 18:54

Yes Costco and TK Marks

Cecilia2016 · 11/12/2019 18:57

I’m lucky my husband buys mine from Australia when goes for work.

JontyDoggle37 · 11/12/2019 19:15

Thanks all looks like a trip to Tk Maxx is in order!

For years I got mine from River Island and they would always last 3 winters before looking shabby. I didn't like their style last year so I got mine from Next. I reckon I will easy get another 3 or 4 winters out of them.

Aderyn19 · 11/12/2019 21:38

I got a pair from fatface a few years ago - they were about £60 iirc, which is over your budget but less than uggs and they lasted until last month. I hope they still sell them because I want another pair.
I currently have a £40 pair from tkmaxx, which are slippers really but seem stronger and less collapsible than really cheap ones.

dottyp0104 · 11/12/2019 22:08

Have a look at DH Gate. It imports from China, they are supposed to be copies.... but Ingit a pair and have to admit they are excellent copies!! 😉 come with the fabric bag and all.
They were only about £30-40'but they are stlll going well 2 years on.

Honestly they must be made in the same factory as they are identicak

Beketaten · 12/12/2019 01:45

Yes to TK Maxx, got 2 pairs of Fitflop Ugg-alikes there last month.

Bettyswoo · 12/12/2019 02:04

I have lived in my uggs every winter for at least £15 and they're still going strong. They even wash well.

Bettyswoo · 12/12/2019 02:05

Ps. Brandalley had discounted ones

LilyJade · 12/12/2019 17:16

Got pale pink ones from Primark for £6, my neighbour complimented them & thought they were actually Uggs.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 12/12/2019 19:59

I have the Costco ones mentioned upthread which I wear as slippers - really cosy, and perfect for going to get the cat in, out with bins etc.

LipstickForADogwalk · 14/12/2019 16:43

Rocketdogs Sugar Daddy’s are good, think mine were around £30 a couple of months ago

Babymamamama · 14/12/2019 16:46

Uggs sale shop in Bicester village. If you have small feet you can save even more by buying kids versions. £40 ish.

CharitySchmarity · 21/12/2019 16:16

TKMaxx often have a brand called Bearpaw which is the same sort of thing but not quite as insanely wide (and a lot cheaper too).
