Best inexpensive straighteners

Do you lot have any suggestions for inexpensive cheap straighteners?

They don't have to be mega wide or fancy looking, I just want something that heats up quick and will stand the test of time

My sister got

Remington Ceramic Straightener in Argos recently for £30. She likes them and the reviews were great.

John Lewis own brand - brilliant and less than £30

Had a pair of remingtons briefly a few years ago which my friend is still using. Were about 20quid from Boots. Did the job.
Otherwise I've an 11 year old pair of GHDs still going strong. I know they're dear but they are unreal.

I had a pair of Remington ones, they were amazing and never snagged my hair. Can’t temper the exact ones they were but then my DP brought me some GHD’s and I hated them to begin with, no heat adjustment and they snag like a hoe. Can make do with them now as they were a gift but once they die I won’t be investing in GHD’s.

I have 7yr old Babyliss cordless which I love, and still going strong.

I bought the Remington Keratin straighteners today in Boots. They are a like for like replacement of the same ones that finally died after over five years constant use. I've never used GHDs but I was really happy with them.

Also, yesterday they were reduced to £49.99 and today they are £39.99 from £99.99.
