Help me decide how to do my nails!

Hi all!

Christmas party Friday, and I am staying this dress, dark green velvet, with black herringbone fishnet tights and ankle boots

I'm doing my nails tomorrow, and these are my two options:

1. classic bright red
2. dark base (navy, but almost black) with a red glitter topcoat.

Which is best?? I fear pillar box red with a green dress is too much and I'll look like an elf...

I might start red lipstick (ruby woo) but I'm undecided and might keep it neutral.

Thoughts??

I'm minimal on makeup etc generally.

I like the sound of choice 2 and Ruby woo lipstick , that sounds stunning!

I'd go for a very dark red or berry colour but out of your two I'd go for the second choice.

I never normally wear bright lipstick so I'm nervous of that aspect. Also whether to just rock in at 8am with a bold red lip or go pop it on at 3pm before the meal... either seems weird!
