DIY unicorn cut?

Has anyone tried one of these? I have mid length curly hair with long layers and a bit of shaping round my face. (it's below collar bone dry, a few inches longer wet) I struggle to find the time for trims and haven't been for over 6 months. I wear it curly most of the time so it's probably more forgiving of an uneven cut than straight hair. But I'm not sure if I should risk it.

Google suggests it's a dry cut, bit to get mine into a tight poney I might be better wet.

Has anyone any experience or advice?
Thanks.

I have done this haircut on myself for the past 2 years. I have mid length curly hair and I always do it wet in a ponytail as it would be more of a faff doing it dry.
I do just trim the ends of individual curls.
I think doing a Unicorn cut on curly hair is more forgiving than straight hair!
There are lots of YouTube videos to follow! Start by just taking a little off and see what you think! Good luck!Xmas Grin

Thanks, it sounds like a great money saving idea, I just need a little confidence!

I colour and cut my own hair and so far so good! I just don’t have the money to go to a hairdressers, but in the past I have paid a fortune for my hair and been very disappointed.

Watch videos online , and then start small and when you have more courage, go bold! Xmas Wink
