Do you moisturise your armpits?

Odd question, I know

Doesn't feel right to put moisturiser on before deodorant but it doesn't feel right to just miss them either???

Always after shaving, but at no other time.

FizzyPink · 10/12/2019 22:00

Yes every day, I find my fake tan goes patchy there if I don’t. I’m genuinely slightly shocked it’s not a normal thing to do!

ExpletiveFairylighted · 10/12/2019 22:12

I never use fake tan either.

Karmatime · 11/12/2019 07:45

Er - no, I don’t moisturise my back back either and the skin there is no drier than legs and arms that I put lotion on everyday so I wonder if it’s really worth it!

SinglePringle · 11/12/2019 07:49

Yes. Every day! Shower, moisturise face, body lotion on all over. Let it absorb, apply deodorant. Get dressed.

AdalindMeisner · 11/12/2019 09:09

No, never heard of moisturising your armpits!

@stripeypillowcase Just curious, you apply a 48hr deodorant which is fair enough but surely by showering in the interim you are washing it off so ought to reapply? Or am I missing something?

Deathraystare · 11/12/2019 09:11

No! Christ, there are enough other areas demanding my attention!

dontgobaconmyheart · 11/12/2019 12:24

I don't, but I moisturise a lot. Am like a lizard so if I don't slather it on every night after a bath I'm sore and itchy. I do around the underarms( just not the armpit itself) but find my deodorant moisturising enough.

I feel how you feel about the soles of my feet though OP, they feel like I missed them so I always shove a load of foot cream on when I've got into bed.

Honeybee85 · 11/12/2019 12:25

Never have thought of doing that tbh.

I would also be worried that my deodorant wouldn’t work properly anymore with an extra layer between my skin and said deodorant.

ThinkIamflyingundertheradar · 11/12/2019 17:11

No. It’s never even occurred to me. But I don’t moisturise much beyond my face and neck really. It makes me feel too sticky.

Mollypolly2610 · 11/12/2019 18:34

I do it at night when I moisturize the rest of my skin. Have done it for years.
