Best eyeliner for tight lining

Please could I have some recommendations for an eyeliner for tightlining? I have quite sensitive eyes and wear contact lenses most days so am struggling to find one that doesn't end up smudging down my face! Thank you.

Laura Mercier tightliner with the brush!

Shiseido microliner ink is the best I've found, applies smoothly is a deep black colour and has precision and control.

The Laura Mercier cakeliner mentioned by pp is nice too but I find it a bit of a faff as you have to get the consistency right (you need to add water) and you constantly need to clean the brush after use so it's a bit time consuming all together.

I’d also like to know this too!

I find a waterproof black liquid liner works best. Doesn't smudge! Currently using a max factor one.

Another vote for Chanel - the waterproof eyeliner pencils are amazing.

I use Lancôme art liner

I find tightlining just doesn't work with contact lenses. The liner migrates onto the lenses and they go cloudy.

Is there a secret I'm missing?

Urban decay water line eye pencil is brilliant. Easy to put on as nice as soft but waterproof

I swear by this Japanese gel eyeliner. It's better than NARS, Kiko, NYC, Smashbox gel pencils that I've tried in comparison. And cheaper too.

Alternatively if I have more time and want a winged liner, I get a brush out and use Bobbi Brown's gel liner in the pot.

I couldn't get on with the Laura Mercier liner, it smudged and gave me panda eyes in a matter of minutes!
