What type of jacket with flared jeans?

Hi everyone. I'm going out to a street food dining hall followed by a club which is a soul/funk retro type place for new year's eve. I'm fed up of wearing dresses and heels for nights out (Not that I go out much but just been on two Christmas dos on the trot) especially when I'm eating out first as I get bloated and uncomfortable in the heels after a while.
I've got some high waisted flared light denim jeans and I love them. I thought about wearing them for NYE with some tan colour block heel boots that I find warm and comfy. I've got a short cream vest to wear with it but I'm stuck on a jacket.
I've got a crombie style maroon coat but not sure it would look right, also got a short three quarter length sleeve fabric type jacket which might be ok.
I'm thinking about getting a leather jacket but it's a bit expensive to fork out just before Xmas, any ideas?

Politely bumping as I ended up on the second page- this is a busy topic!

You could buy a leather/faux leather jacket off of EBay or Depop as a cheaper option.
Or a blazer type jacket would be good, but a colder option.Xmas Grin

Ooh just thought I have got this blazer from miss Selfridge. Grey ok with tan bag and boots?
That might work, not massively warm but not planning on being outdoors much!

Yes grey blazer and tan boots and bag will work.
A teddy coat would be a warm option if you have one, like other pp has recommended.
You could always go Christmas with a sequin blazer!Xmas Smile

Flares? It’s got to be a rabbit fur bomber jacket really...

bigcheesematrix · 11/12/2019 17:48

I do like those little furry jackets might need to do a little search online see about trying some on.

A fitted jacket if you’ve got flares. Velvet?

I've just bought a leather jacket Xmas Grin. It's waist length and quite fitted. I know it's nice as my sister has it in tan.
