Thick casual dresses help!

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 09/12/2019 19:23

Can anyone point me in the direction of some thicker casual dresses that could be worn over tights/leggings?

Ideally mid thigh length or longer and not too expensive if possible. I like thicker cotton jersey or anything resembling it. I'm around a size 14 due to massive bust Blush

I've lost my way a bit with fashion but would like to look presentable over Christmas. I'd like something I can feel relaxed and comfortable in until I can address my wardrobe properly in the new year.

I meant to say everything I've ordered this far has been so thin and unflattering that I've sent it right back.

I bought this recently, having seen someone post it on here. It’s fabulous. Perfectly weighted jersey and incredibly flattering.

Esprit knitted dresses are thick and fit nicely.

Thank you for the replies so far! I shall investigate Crew Clothing and Esprit Smile

Ona I checked out Seasalt the other day but wasn't especially keen on the prices or any of the patterns this season.

I looked at Uniqlo but they seemed a bit drab or too jumper-ish.

I've never purchased anything from Boden but I'm about to look at their offerings. Joules too. I've lost my way with fashion after putting on some weight from meds - all the lightweight fabrics seem to cling and aren't cut for a bigger bust. I feel a bit indecent in them!

I went into town today and felt like I saw a lot of these! Uniqlo, H&M, Cos. They made me feel a bit hot and claustrophobic just looking at them but go for it 😁

This Hush dress works with leggings/tights/ trousers. It's a deep ( but not rudely so) v neck, and very loose, I'm an 18 and XLis way too big, I got L but could have worn M. It's thick enough to cover lumps and bumps well.

@DelphiniumBlue your post enabled me enough to buy that glitter dress! I've been eyeing it up for ages, I have been looking for something sparkly for Christmas...fingers crossed I love it!
