Short-arse country boots?

DDs feet have definitely stopped growing, and I'm keen to get her a pair of decent leather boots for dog walking and general outsidey-ness. But at just under 5ft, and with stringy little legs, I think ladies size 3 might come up past her knees and be comically baggy.
Any advice for very petite 'country boots', or really decent wellies?

A lot of country boots are wide in the calf I find. She could try some short Muck Boots? I have the weekend short arctic Muck Boots and they're fantastic.
Obviously they're a different look, not quite as smart as country boots but I get baggy ankles in most country boots, and suspect your DD would too. Otherwise I'd recommend going to a Saddlery where she could try a few styles on before committing.

Sorry I meant to include a pic of the Arctic muck boots

Short-arse country boots?

Toggi Canyon are short (3/4 length rather than full length) and good quality, but not particularly narrow in the calf. Thick socks over jeans might potentially fix that if they're for dog walking?

Go to an equestrian shop (or an online version). Size 3 is still technically a childs size so you will find something for her with the bonus of the length being shorter and they will be cheaper too.

Eg: these or these

I'm 4ft 11 and a size 3.
The main difference between a womens 3 and a childs 3 is the width - I've fat hobbit feet so always need a womens 3.

For boots, i've a fab pair of Ariats that almost come to me knees but are much slimmer than by dubarrys, they only fit on none fat bloated days!!
