Shampoo Bars

Does anyone use shampoo bars? I'm thinking of trying them but live in a hard water area so know this can be an issue. Also what do you do about conditioner or is it not needed?

i have tried a lot of different ones and am currently using this one, which i like a lot. i also use this conditioner bar

Yes, i use this one and love it - my issue is shampoo bars make my hair feel 'sticky' in the shower but afterwards super clean and mean it stays clean for so much longer, I guess cos of lack of chemicals? Not sure.

&keep are a fab site for solid shampoo and conditioner with a fab selection and cheap posting.

I'm using the Gruum lemon and almond shampoo bar and it's excellent - not sticky or drying for my hair. Got a free one through the Martin Lewis website and have now repurchased as it's so good.

Currently using the Lush rose one, which is my best shampoo bar yet - I started with ones from the health food shop nearby. A lot of them make my thin, fine hair feel either very dry or as if the shampoo hasn’t rinsed out properly, and tend to leave it dull. I had a goat’s milk one recommended on here and it made my hair really thick and bouncy but it took away all shine. The Lush one is currently working well but it’s expensive at £9.

I haven’t found a great solid conditioner yet. The Lush one I bought along with the shampoo is pretty meh. They tend to be hard to rub into your hair.

I personally really like the Big conditioner bar from Lush. I wasn't sure about it at first but I wouldn't be without it now.
