Ankle boots, knee-high boots or over-the knee boots?

Over the knee boots are awful. They look like a pantomime costume and not in a good way.

I like knee high boots because they’re more flattering on me with skirts. I like ankle boots, but apart from doc martens I find them hard to make look good.

Ankle are my fave of the three.

I like over the knee boots if styled right...but that's hard to do.

Knee high boots are hard to put on over jeans and i hate them with dresses and skirts. Either look tarty or mumsy imo.

I have two pairs of ankle boots and several pairs of knee-high boots so have no preference but I can't get on board with over the knee boots. The possibly made up by me word prostitutional comes to mind. Sorry!
