How do I choose where to have invisalign?

I'm in London and I don't know anyone who has had it.
Should gut feeling/bedside manner be a factor? Should I ask about their experience or will I sound like a twat? Does it matter if tgey have PG Ortho/qualification or is invisalign trained dentist enough? It's a lot of money and I want to get it right.
Any pointers greatly appreciated!

I just went to my local dentist, didn't even think about shopping around? They send the moulds off and everything is made and approved by the main Invisalign company so don't think you can necessarily get a 'bad' Invisalign dentist. Invisalign make the retainers.

Fluffy did you have any crowns or huge problems or was it a minor 6 month smile type? Are you happy with your results?

I'm not in London but I've currently got invisalign. I chose a dentist who has specialised in cosmetics, implants etc. He actually teaches cosmetic dentistry at Kings College so should know what he is doing.
I'm spending £3k so I don't want some general dentist who just does invisalign as an extra.
If I hadn't found this guy then I would have gone with DS's old orthodontist.

I have no crowns and only had the bottom teeth done, I had one tooth that was set very far back and higher compared to the others. I was given a 10 week set of retainers but my teeth (well the one tooth) didn't move as quickly as hoped so ended up with another 8 weeks.

My invisalign dentist does deal with cosmetic dentistry mostly but I don't see what is so specialist that a regular dentist can't do? They literally take the moulds and photos, send them to Invisalign, who make the retainers and decide how many are needed. Then you just go back every now and again for them to check your teeth are moving at the rate they were expecting.

Sorry meant to say yes I got the results I wanted, they put a bar on the back of the teeth which they say should be on for at least 6 months. I can feel my teeth really want to move and definitely need to wear my retainer every night. My first wire came off in two weeks so they had to make a special one which has now stuck. If it wasn't there I am sure my teeth would be all over the place by now.

I had mine done here and I can't recommend them highly enough. But to be honest I started with Invisalign and just wasn't strict enough with them so moved to fixed braces, and had perfect teeth within 8 months.
