best TK Maxx near central London

Can anyone advise me of the best branch to go to that has a large stock.
I live in central London and my nearest branches are quite small and very busy. Think Charing Cross road, Covent Garden.

I don't mind a bit of travelling can anyone recommend somewhere a bit bigger?

Purley way in Croydon is massive. Well stocked up.

PaperFlowers4 · 05/12/2019 22:47

Kensington high street

user1493242132 · 05/12/2019 22:53

I’m sorry but Ken High st is my local and it’s rubbish

Sarcelle · 05/12/2019 22:55

The best one is Kensington High Street. The products vary in branch so whilst the Purley Way one is big, a lot of it is tat. Certainly not worth the trek from central London.

I used to live in Covent Garden and now live in SW London. I would choose the Covent Garden branch and the Ken High St one over any other branch. Windsor is not bad but out of town.

If you do want to go to the Croydon one, get a train from London Victoria - the train's destination is Epsom Downs but get off at Waddon for the delights of the Purley Way Croydon branch. But really, don't bother!

TK Maxx has gone massively downhill wherever the branch is. Instead of true brands there are lots of made for TK Maxx products.

I went in this one recently and thought it was fab and really well stocked.

There is a huge branch at Oxford Circus. It's very busy though and I don't think the prices brilliant.

I like the Hammersmith branch.

Beketaten · 06/12/2019 00:50

There's a big one in Clapham Junction - 2 floors. It's 10 minutes from Victoria or Waterloo by train.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 06/12/2019 01:03

I like the one near Tottenham Court
Road.

myidentitymycrisis · 06/12/2019 07:55

Thanks everyone.
The one near TC road is my usual and I find it pretty poor and thought I might try another

I have been to Hammersmith and High St Ken in the past but not recently.

Has anyone tried Westfield Stratford?

I don’t think I will go to Croydon

I've done Stratford Westfield, it was okay.

What are you looking for - that may help to guide you to the best store.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 06/12/2019 08:20

Love the Oxford Circus one -2nd floor! Just discovered it and it’s my go to Christmas present shop during lunch hr

PowerHooper · 06/12/2019 08:34

Clapham Junction is very jumble-saley - despite being two floors' worth of space, there was very little beauty/make-up when I was last in. A huge men's section upstairs, though.

Beketaten · 06/12/2019 12:49

I live in Clapham Junction and was in this week - they had products by Tom Ford, Hourglass, Urban Decay, Lipstick Queen, Kevin Aucoin and Nars in the beauty section. Random bits, but worth a rummage, which is what TK Maxx is all about. Also good for bags, luggage and shoes.

missl1 · 06/12/2019 13:17

I find the one in Clapham Junction very disappointing. It's not as big as some others and, as someone said, it has a better selection for men than women. I find the one in Brixton much better.

Feelingabitashamed · 06/12/2019 13:51

Brixton is my favourite

TheFaerieQueene · 06/12/2019 13:53

Ealing Broadway is ok.

myidentitymycrisis · 06/12/2019 14:11

I like the Balham one. Not huge but better presented than others. Tooting not bad either.

HundredMilesAnHour · 06/12/2019 17:07

I'm not a fan of the Westfield Stratford one. It's a decent size but has a lot of old stock hanging around. For some reason, the 'clientele' seem to be pretty ill-mannered too. It gets very busy too (no idea why!!)

Whereas the one near Monument is much smaller but seems to get better quality stock and isn't as rammed with rude people. I've found some really good buys here.

MillyMollie · 06/12/2019 17:07

Channel 4 did an investigation documentary on TK Maxx.
The conclusion was a lot of the stuff never appeared in other shops but was made for TK Maxx.
I believe a lot of the goods in Outlets are the same. Not all stock though. But much of it.

I was pleasantly surprised by the South Ken TKMaxx - Much better than the sh*te in Irish branches.
