Urgent advice: funeral in an hour

I have burnt my black coat with my curling tong 😭

It's too obvious and cannot be salvaged.

I have two other options, light grey coat or black and white dog tooth. Hopefully images have attached. Which should I wear?

I’d actually say the dog tooth. Either way have you got a big black scarf or pashmina you can wrap round whichever one you go with?

Don’t wear the houndstooth. It’s too cheery.

The grey is fine. The main thing is to wear something sober that won't catch the eye. I'm sorry for your loss.

I always wear grey to funerals. Usually dark, but certainly acceptable.
