I have a shoe problem...

I have my works Christmas party on Saturday. I've got a black and silver jumpsuit and was trying to decide which shoes to wear with it. I picked out all possible options and I've got far too many shoes!!

This isn't even half of the shoes I own!

Oh dear, you call that 'too many shoes?'

I'm sure mine breed

Ninkanink · 04/12/2019 14:03

Don’t worry, you haven’t got a problem at all! I recently cleared out 35+ pairs, and I’ve still got 50+ left...

I think the pair to the right would look great with your jumpsuit. Xmas Smile

That's a lot of black, red and silver high heels. I'm rather jealous that you need so many going out shoes, I have 3 pairs of shoes for going out, it's the brogues, loafers and trainers that are taking over my wardrobe.

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 04/12/2019 15:51

That isn't even all my going out shoes! I've recently had to implement a 'one in, one out' policy as far as footwear is concerned.

Not navy blue - are you a monster? Grin

BloodyCats · 04/12/2019 16:08

The silver peep toe ones might work?

I’m another who is jealous! I have a ridiculous amount of trainers, slip ons and boots but no fancy going out ones like you.

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 04/12/2019 16:19

Navy blue with black? Are you on glue??? Grin

Sadly school days have forever ruined navy blue for me.

MoltonSilver · 04/12/2019 16:35

Another vote for the silver peep toe.

Ninkanink · 04/12/2019 16:37

Navy and black = very chic. If done correctly.

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 04/12/2019 16:44

Ah well that counts me out them, I'll never be very chic...maybe shabby chic on a good day!

You need to go shopping. If those are half your shoes presumably the other half are just the matching ones.

i'm having a cull and still have more than twice that.

Ninkanink · 04/12/2019 16:49

Shabby chic = chic (again, if done correctly)! Anyway maybe find yourself a new pair of navy shoes to wear to the party! Oh wait, did I forget to mention that I’m an awful shoe enabler...?

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 04/12/2019 16:52

Took me a long time to get me head round navy and black too but it's ok these days Grin

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 04/12/2019 16:54

If in doubt red shoes are never wrong is my general rule Grin

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 04/12/2019 17:10

I do have the other shoes to these pairs, together they probably comprise about 1/3 of my shoe collection.

I feel like such an amateur....I shall point DP in this direction next time he calls me Imelda Marcos!

Not sure I'll ever get navy and black though!

OP posts:
TheRattleBag · 04/12/2019 19:53

Me neither OP, no matter how many times people tell me it's ok!

TheLightGetsIn · 04/12/2019 20:46

I love navy with black, but not black outfit with navy shoes! Black tights and shoes with e.g. a plain navy dress, though, is totally fine.

Miseryisabutterfly · 05/12/2019 07:38

I love navy and black, but agree with @TheLightGetsIn!

Those silver ones would be fab but I’m worried about you having cold feet 😂

confusedmaybe · 05/12/2019 07:44

You need going out boots. That's your problem
