Are heated eyelash curlers better than normal ones?

My DD uses the standard eyelash curlers I bought about 25 years ago and I'm thinking about buying some heated ones for her. Are they worth it? Does the curl last longer? If so, which brand would you recommend?

I bought a pair of heated eyelash curlers about eight years ago and they were rubbish. Didn't curl my lashes at all, so they were consigned to the bin immediately. Normal ones give me great results.

Perhaps I didn't have good ones, or maybe they're better nowadays, but I'd say don't bother.

Normal ones, quick blast with a warm hairdryer, touch to check you won't burn your eyelids , volia!

Though not sure how you wrap a tip.

Thanks for your responses, looks as though they're not worth buying.

@shannith I'll work something out; it can be her main present, I'm sure she'll appreciate it 😀.

I saw on a YouTube video with make up artist Morag Ross (she does film work, worked a lot with Cate Blanchet) that she loves heated eyelash curlers and the reason a lot of people don't rate them is because they don't know you have to use them after you've applied mascara not before.

Just blast regular one with your hairdryer for a few seconds.

Agree, hairdryer then touch against your lip to check temp. Easy.

Aren't they bad for eyelashes over time?
