Get yourself on depop or eBay x

Or if you don't want to shop online, I got a lovely house of Fraser cashmere blend coat for £5 the other week

I've got a banardos sorting centre near me. They sell everything for £1.5 and a separate rail for vintage/nicer items that are £5 max. Charity shops in town centres tend to be on the dearer side. If you have any indoor carboots near by as well they might be worth visit.

Supermarkets can have some excellent coats. I've got some stupidly expensive coats, but the one that always gets compliments is from Sainsburys!

Primark have loads under £20 and my daughter got a lovely black fake fur one for £16 in new look the other day.

ParkheadParadise · 02/12/2019 20:49

Another vote for Primark. I got a lovely warm coat last week for £20.

Shitonthebloodything · 02/12/2019 21:26

I got a gorgeous coat on eBay last week for under £10 and a really thick parka last year from primarks sale for £7.

@Moominfan any ideas how I can find a sorting centre? I love a good charity shop rummage but the ones here can be overpriced at times. E.g. £20 for a Zara jacket that would have been £30 new.

The one near me just lists itself as a regular charity shop. Not sure how you could search for one, perhaps google charity sorting centres? Smaller independent charities seem to keep their prices low. I never go to the ones in town as they're just so expensive for charity shops, may as well buy new. Depop, Vinted and eBay are also worth luck. Church sales are great! But I've only ever found them from seeing a sign outside. Visited one in lytham recently, I bought loads of real wool skirts costing just £3 each
