1920’s dress style for a short(ish) pear shape?

I need a dress/costume for a 20’s Christmas do. Everything I’ve looked at just looks so straight up and down. Any suggestions what style dress I should try for a 5’4” pear. 10 or 12 on top, 14 on bottom.
I’m rubbish at this, usually live in jeans and trying to make an effort.

Ha! I have the same problem! As a 5’6 pear with thighs I have accepted I will never find anything 1920s that will suit me.

I have said I’m not doing it and will be turning up in 1950s dress which actually flatters me. But I appreciate this is a bit of a random IDGAF thing to do, and probably not helpful for you!

I have the top one. I'm bigger than you although not pear shaped but it's very flattering.

Ok so it’s not just me then, that’s a relief!
I’ve been under-dressed for every event ever (see above dress proportions) so will merrily join you in not giving one about the suggested theme and looking decent instead!
