Hello ye bastions of British elegance. I'm looking for classic yet interesting dresses for work, and it seems Boden does some good ones. Being in Australia, however, I can't try on Boden in the high street; I'll have to buy online.
What do you think of Boden's quality and fit? As someone who rarely buys clothes online and can't be stuffed sending things back unless they are truly epic fails, I'd welcome your opinions.
I'm 167cm and a fairly standard size 12 (same in UK as Aust). I find some so-called 12s are skimpy across the back and under the arms. I'm also a stickler for a decent hem that gives the skirt some weight and allows it to sit and swing well.
I'm looking at the Amelie jersey dresses, among others.
Thoughts?

I rate Mistral as a lot of it is made with100% cotton, I like the long stretchy cotton tunics and the dresses.

Kiwi here who orders regularly from Boden (so that I'm not in the same unlined glassons items as all my colleagues - we now have agreed days to wear certain items or it looks like a uniform).

I'm 174cm and order size 12 long which works for me, I have narrow waist and widish hips. Occasional items have been slightly on the large size.

I find the fabric quality to be decent. The jersey dresses seem to last well (although I have a few that have faded due to sun exposure as no tumble dryer so everything dries outside on line).

Also - sales work perfectly for the off season.

I agree re Mistral - only discovered it this year and have bought loads of tops and tunics and wear them more than anything else. Don't wear dresses much (if I wear a dress to work, I can't clip my lanyard onto my waist and find myself locked out of my office) but liked the look of their dresses as well.

Boden do not cut for busty ladies. I also find that the waists on their dresses are very high for me, and their tops are too short.

The Richmond trousers are fabulous, I have then in 5 colours and wear them for everything.
