Just got Boden gold blazer - how shall I style it?

I though it might be good for a Christmas party I'm going to in Scotland.

But how shall I style it? I'm 5ft 6in, size 12, blonde and mid 40s.

I quite like it with the gold trousers but you might look like an Oscar :-)

I agree it looks great as a suit but think I'd need to be tall and super skinny to carry it off.

I'm wondering about tightish black jeans and a white silk top underneath.

Black jeans, trousers or leather look skirt with a black or white silk top sounds good.
Alternatively, a black dress.

That's nice! I'd go for the suit but with a fabulous sheer blouse so obviously not an oscar statue. If you're not tall you could get the trousers hemmed to a cute ankle skimmer?
It reminds me of a black and pewter jacket and skirt suit I bought a few years back. It's my go to occasion wear, so comfortable!
