Kurt Geiger synthetic leather boots

They came today and are really comfy and lovely on (I want to wear them with dresses and skirts and I struggle to find boots that are slim enough round the ankle). However, I hadn’t realised they weren’t leather - assumed they would be for the price. I have no idea what to expect from synthetic leather - I always buy leather boots because I know they’re likely to last and don’t make my feet sweat. But I really like these Should I take a risk and keep them? Or are they likely to be an expensive sweaty mistake that I’ll end up having to replace in a few months?

Silly question but are they definitely synthetic? Selfridges says leather.

In my experience a lot of KG shoes are made from something that’s not real leather, but from some special type of man made material that’s made from fabric and leather offcuts which are used to make a “leather like” top layer!

I researched this a while ago because I bought a pair of their shoes which were labelled as “leather” in the department store I bought them from, but on close examination at home were clearly not leather... I returned them.

I'd return them. I had an incident recently, where a pair of boots which looked beautiful and which came up under the filter for leather only turned ljt to be plastic. I refuse to buy plastic boots masquerading as leather, so I cancelled the order as soon as I realised. The shop were very understanding.

Thanks all for the responses. They’re definitely not leather, I checked the little stickers underneath and the logos show they’re synthetic. Think they will have to go back - it’s too much money to waste on something that won’t last.

The first ad only states the sole is synthetic. The majority of my shoes and boots are KG. My most comfy boots are now 3 years old and will still last a few years yet.

I ordered the exact same boots! Tried them on yesterday and was also put off by the fact they’re synthetic. I returned them. On closer inspection you can tell they’re not leather and just felt a bit flimsy. Not sure they’d last that well.

It did say synthetic on the side of the box. Don’t think it’s just the soles.
