Also, do you think it’s nice? www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/suki-velvet-top/sty-j0556

Doesn’t look like pjs to me. I love velvet. What do YOU think about it?

raffle · 29/11/2019 16:03

It resembles no pajamas ive ever seen!

PlasticPatty · 29/11/2019 16:04

No, that's fine. Not pyjamas or house wear. As for being 'nice' - depends on how you wear it.

My gran sewed. She loved velvet (she used to be a weaver). But, she used scraps of velvet as household cloths, so velvet always speaks of 'dusters' to me.

Looks like a normal top to me.

Doesn’t look like pjs to me but I do think it looks a bit basic for the price. I wouldn’t pay £48 for it.

Doesn't look like PJs. However, £48 for polyester is ridiculous!!

BlastEndedSkrewt · 29/11/2019 16:25

don't think i've ever seen velvet pyjamas

Thelaughinggnome123 · 29/11/2019 16:43

I ordered it, with 30% off, and the fabric looks cheap in my opinion, and it comes up very big,

Hotapplecider · 29/11/2019 17:03

I also certainly wouldn’t pay £48 for it! It’s 30% off, so £33.60.

@Thelaughinggnome123 That’s interesting - thanks.

I really like the colour of the top (in the blue). I had a very cosy chenille pyjama top in the past, and velvet looks a bit similar to it, so maybe that’s why this top had slightly pyjama vibes for me, but it’s nice that no one else thinks it looks like pyjamas! I can’t decide whether the very simple design is nice and chic or a bit boring.

Also, I’m not getting out very much at the moment as I’m unwell, so I feel like I’m not totally in touch with what’s being worn!

I think of velvet as a bit 70s (but wasn’t around in the 70s, so I could be wrong!), but don’t know whether it can also look modern?
