I have POD. been there for a few months but now slowly clearing with Rosex cream.

Skin still odd and red and burns easily after washing (using cetaphil).

I think I need a different face wash..

Can anyone recommend a good face wash for POD prone skin and maybe also a good moisturiser. I haven't put much on my face recently.

I am mid 40s. Tried aveeno as recommended by GP but it gives me break outs.

Thanks.

Hi there, following advice from another thread on here I bought Bioderma Cicabio Creme as I had two children suffering from perioral dermatitis. They had both had antibiotics and various creams from the doctors and it slightly cleared and then always came back.
I tried this cream and it took about a month or so but one child has no sign of it anymore and the other still has redness on his nostrils but nothing like the rash he had before. We try to use it twice a day every day.
I can't advise on face wash. We have cerave hydrating cleanser but they're not using it at the moment as I'm worried about upsetting their skin. I bought it after researching POD but I'm the only one using it at the moment - I find it very mild.
Good luck.

I cleared up my POD with La Roche Posay Cicaplast. I currently use Superdrug hot cloth cleanser but have found the Body Shop camomile cleansing butter to be gentle and effective.

Avene Cicalfate face cream and Cetaphil face wash sorted it out (along with a course of oral antibiotics) for my husband
