Smart shoes with good support?

I've developed a problem with the arch of one foot that is getting worse. I think the problem has been exacerbated by wearing slip-on shoes that are incredibly comfortable in some ways but don't offer much support. I have some Skechers trainers which seem to help the arch problem but I can't wear them for more formal work stuff. I also need a wide fitting.

Any recommendations?

Try Ecco the shoes have built in arch support and I have wide feet and a lot of the styles are quite wide

Fitflops have built in arch support and memory foam insoles, they're so comfortable I've got 4 different styles. I don't buy shoes from any other brand now.

You may need to consider orthotics. When made, they can be put into most shoes to provide support.

I'm looking at orthotics as well, but my thinking is orthotics plus good supportive shoes together are the way to go.

I didn't realise Fitflops do shoes and boots - last time I came across them it was only sandals. They look promising, so do Ecco, so many thanks.

Orthotics help me but there are virtually no shoes I can wear them in, only trainers and boots, any other shoes (even lace-ups) become too loose because of the extra height of the orthotics. So I'd definitely try built in support first, or orthotics in boots.

Vionic with inbuilt support. Some are wide fit and they do heeled shoes as well. I live in them due to flat feet and Fitflops causing me issues after wearing them for years.
