Is Seasalt Janelle warm?

This coat has just arrived and it’s a lot less padded than I expected. How warm is it? Will it be warm enough in freezing temperatures? My old craghoppers coat was fine even for the mountains in the snow.

I find it overly warm

Bargebill19 · 28/11/2019 21:18

Yes it’s lovely and warm. Worn it for dog walking (very slow elderly boy) kept me tasty warm. It even stood up to hanging around in draughty old church belfries. I was the only one who was warm. Guess who’s coat got ‘borrowed’ when it was my turn to ring.

Toasty not tasty. Doh!

I wore mine all winter long last year and was not cold once. I think it's partly because its windproof and nice and long, really kept the chill out. Honestly one of the best coats I ever owned.

Mine is warm

Love mine and do find it warm, although I’ve never tried climbing mountains in the snow in it!

AwkwardSquad · 29/11/2019 18:33

I find I need an extra layer underneath if it’s really cold - a thick cardigan works fine.

reefedsail · 29/11/2019 18:35

It's a great coat but i do wear a fleece layer with it if I'm on the coast in sub-zero.
