Amazon for fragrance?

Good evening. A question for those more knowledgeable than I on these things. I keep seeing lots of people reviewing amazon fragrances as ‘fake, saying they don’t smell right, don’t last as long, have different bottles etc, even for items sold direct by amazon. Surely they can’t be? I’ve seen one I want to buy but am hesitating slightly because of this. Just to be clear it is sold by amazon themselves and not by a third part seller. Thoughts please?

a million times no - twice my DH has bought me perfume from Amazon & twice it has very obviously been fake

These have both times been from Amazon direct & have had incorrect packaging, even a code cut out from the inside of the packaging & the cellophane glued back down - it was not any cheaper either. Avoid if I were you

Happened to me once but I complained and was sent the 'real deal'

I'd be wary.
Try Allbeauty instead, loads of discounts around and definitely the real thing.

I've had a couple that have been fine.

I'd be careful. DH bought some of my favourite Miller Harris from Amazon and it was fake. A very good fake, as in the packaging was hard to tell apart from the real thing, but the contents of the bottle were very clearly not the real thing.
