Hi all

In 2 weeks I will be going to my partners Christmas do, think private members club in London very high end.

I have never been anywhere like it before I have an simple Hobbs dress to wear grey silk, empire line showing a little cleavage. I'm a real believer in quality basics being essential to look classy.

It's been a while since I wore the dress and I have put on a bit of weight, I will try to loose some weight but I'm a realist and miracles don't happen so I'm looking for some quality underwear to keep things tidy! I'm a curvy size 14 with DD boobs. I have tried various shape wear in the past but not too happy with any here's my wish list does anyone have any recommendations - not padded, suitable for a lowish top, fastening underneath and relatively comfortable... am I asking too much?

Next makeup, although I am 50 I am told I am relatively young looking but I struggle with eye makeup my eyelids are starting to look wrinkly and putting eye shadow on just exaggerates it any suggestions?

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this all suggrstions gratefully received.

I cant really help you with the makeup side but try visiting Boux Avenue. Their underwear sets are fab and there is always a member of staff to lend a helping hand. You'll look stunning! Hope you have a brilliant time xx

I’ve recently bought shapermint and it’s great! Do unsubscribe though - they bombard. They’ve got Black Friday deals running now - order today and you should get it in time

Thank you both, off to have a look

Re: makeup - book a special occasion makeup with a local makeup artist - always worth it for an event like yours.

Have a great time

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't often wear makeup and in the past when I've had someone do my makeup they put on too much and I don't look like me. Added distance problem to consider too, I live up in the Yorkshire Dales so no chance of arranging it in London with someone I would be able to meet beforehand.
