What should I wear? I'm going on my own and I've never been to something like this before. It's quite a big industry based event.

I tried to look up photos of previous events but they only had pics of speakers, I'm only attending. They mostly wore business type wear.

Could I get away with jeans? There's quite a lot of travel involved to get there and back in one day. I usually wear dresses at work, I was hoping not to have to wear my normal gear.

Normal work gear for your industry IME.

I would wear my usual work clothes.

In these situations (lots of travelling), I pick a dress that doesn't crease, tights with a comfortable waistband (Heist or similar), and kitten heels.

Bah! Thanks for the advice. It wasn't what I wanted to hear but I will put on my usual work gear.

I always wore a dress, comfy tights and ankle boots.

Agree, professional attire. If there are people from different countries It'll be more mixed with the Scandinavians in jeans for sure
