Found this site today when looking for bras online. I have a suspicion the quality of their clothes will be appalling, but they are pretty cheap so I am tempted to try. Does anyone here know whether their stuff is any good?

all rubbish and made in sweatshops. They’re part of other brands can’t remember what the others are called but they’re all one thing under different names

HarrietTheFly · 26/11/2019 23:24

Ah thanks Jeffrey. Glad I checked. I don't usually shop online and am clueless

Awful quality, awful fit, took ages to arrive. Save your money!!!

Jupiters · 27/11/2019 17:38

I ordered from them once... Everything was poor quality (for the price I wasn't expecting wonders but it was poor even by a low standard)

nocluewhattodoo · 27/11/2019 17:42

My friend did a massive shop from there, spent something like £200 and it was all appalling, and there was a lot of it.

haverhill · 27/11/2019 17:42

It’s crap and very oddly proportioned.

Ordered a cardigan once as I had a free delivery code, I've never worn it, it was that bad!

EmpressJewel · 27/11/2019 18:23

A few colleagues I used to work with raved about Shein, but they were quite young so I guess quality wasn't high on their list of priorities.

HarrietTheFly · 27/11/2019 19:15

I will steer clear. Thank you. Can anyone suggest an alternative? My budget is low. I am looking for a few essentials - long sleeve tops, trousers etc, as well as bra's. I usually stick to brick stores but I can't get out the house very much at the moment.

I sent back 90% of my stuff back. It’s been 3 months and still don’t have my refund!

LittleTopic · 27/11/2019 19:17

If you look at Gap online at the moment, it’s 50% off everything which should help your budget.

Next, Dorothy Perkins? Delivery is usually reasonable.

JacquesHammer · 27/11/2019 19:18

Just done an order for £30 so not expensive.

Decent for what it cost - we’re keeping all 4 items!

HarrietTheFly · 27/11/2019 19:21

For some reason it had not occured to me to look up real shops online! Thanks I will have a look at gap and Dorothy Perkins.

Oh I should say with bras I was after a fairly difficult to find size - 28D. One of the potential positives with shein was that their bras were marked as S M L rather than in traditional sizes and it looked as if an S would do the job...though probably wouldn't.

LittleTopic · 27/11/2019 19:38

Not sure Dorothy Perkins do bras but Next do some comfy t shirt bras with decent sizing. They have S/M/L sizing in some of the ranges!

DerbyshireGirly · 27/11/2019 19:41

Think Asos might be doing 30% off for Black Friday too, they have loads of bras on there.

Rosere · 27/11/2019 20:26

Shein clothes are nice material but the fit is appalling. They also took ages to arrive. Avoid.
Bravissimo or Asos for the bras.

DianaT1969 · 27/11/2019 23:15

Try Brastop online for 28D. Brands such as Freya and Panache do that size. Brastop is usually discounted previous season bras.

Yoollyball · 27/11/2019 23:19

Next - do good quality bras for not too much £ and have lots in your size

smoothieooo · 28/11/2019 15:31

I bought a nice enough dress from Shein (which took forever to arrive) but is a short, swingy style and lined. I then ordered a top (purely because I liked the colour) and it was dreadful - it looked home made rather than hand made, crap fit but too much of a faff to return.

Re bras - I've just discovered Uniqlo's non-wired range which is fab (and currently on sale).

ActualHornist · 28/11/2019 21:30

Uniqlo is great for basics - the trousers are about £13 or so, they always seem to have good sales.

Spend more on your bras.

OverByYer · 28/11/2019 21:35

I find any companies that advertise on Facebook or Instagram are crap. I’ve been ripped off a few times now.
