I am suffering from hair loss at the moment. My hair has definitely lost volume. :( my mum takes perfectil and recommended those but are they better than generic supermarket brands? Please help and share your experiences. I feel so self conscious

I took perfectil and felt they helped. I did look at supermarket versions but I don't think they had as much of the same ingredients in them. Boots usually have 3 for 2 offers on perfectil.

I'd also recommend L'Oréal Elvive fibrology shampoo and conditioner. It makes my baby fine hair appear thicker.

You need biotin and make sure to get your iron levels checked.
Also prepare yourself for the biotin moustache.

My iron levels are low and I have been supplementing with iron for a few months now :( what the hell is a biotin moustache?

All you needis to look at the ingredients of supermarkets and perfectil. Theformula in the ingredients list is the same for third the price.

I think you should get your iron levels checked and your thyroid.
You can get Perfectil with extra hair vitamins. I do think they helped me, especially when combined with iron tablets.

Oops. Missed your post about your iron levels.

I've always had good skin but biotin has made an enormous difference to my hair and nails.

You can buy 120 biotin 10,000mcg biotin tablets for £4.49 on eBay. Take one a day and you should notice improvements within 2-3 week.
I haven't noticed a 'biotin moustache' but my hair has certainly grown thicker since taking these miraculous little pills.

In the meantime, continue supplementing your iron levels and get your blood tested to see if you have any thyroid deficiencies.

You can fix a biotin moustache with an epilator and gritted teeth Wink

Biotin works for me. The tash is a pay off against my lovely thick hair. I use the springy thing daily.
