Help me find a perfume

I'm on the hunt for a new perfume to suggest as a gift from my DP.

I currently wear Lacoste Pour Femme day-to-day and Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet for special occasions. I used to be quite fond of CK Euphoria and Ghost Night but I find them too heavy now.

I'd like a lighter and more fresh fragrance but nothing which is going to remind me of fly spray which is what was happening when I was on the hunt in Boots today!

Any suggestions??

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle is my favourite.

My all time fave is Armani Code 😍 Can't get enough of it

Eden perfumes are gorgeous and cruelty free, they match all the top scents for half the price.

When you say something lighter and fresh...do you mean citrusy fresh? Or maybe something aquatic? Or would you like to stick with a fruity floral vibe like the Dior one you wear?

PastTippingPoint · 24/11/2019 22:10

@FrogCat
Yes I was thinking something more citrusy, but obviously I like floral scents too.

I will give some of the ones mentioned above a try next time I'm in town Smile

For a variety of florals with degrees of freshness try the Hermes Un Jardin ...... range. There are around 6 of them and they all have different characteristics. Also Guerlain Jicky is a wonderful old fashioned floral scent which is also fresh. It’s my new favourite! All Beauty has all the above with healthy discounts. You should also look at Miller Harris where you would be spoilt for choice.

Are you within striking distance of a Jo Malone? They do lots of florals. A fair few of their scents don’t last on the skin too well but I find their orange blossom, lime, basil & mandarin, wild bluebell (on me it has an almost watermelony scent), Peony & suede blush, and Grapefruit all have reasonable staying power

D&G la imperatice (I think that's how it's spelt) it's no3 anyway. Its light and refreshing. Quite grapefruitty. Love it.

Try the Aqua Allegoria range by Guerlain. Pampelune and Limon Verde are just heavenly ....

FrogCat · 25/11/2019 07:12

Jour D’Hermes is a nice, every day citrus that steers away from bathroom cleaner territory.

Le Labo Santal 33 ....unreal!
