Help- I’ve ruined my make up brushes 😬

So I wanted to give them a deep clean and looked up how to do it on google. Long story short, there was a suggestion to mix shampoo with olive oil. I’ve overdone the olive oil and fear I’ve wrecked them all 😩

Any tips on how to rescue them?

shampoo again with neat shampoo? use a very mild one .

Then air dry on their side so the water doesn't run back into the metal collar at the base of the bristles (I'm thinking this is the finial but I could be making that up? )

Baby shampoo is your friend. Just soak them in a solution of baby shampoo and warm water. Be careful not to agitate the bristles too much, but swish them about a bit and repeat with a fresh solution until all the oil has gone. In theory the oil will clear the makeup off. So now you need to clear the oil! Detergent clears oil but damages brushes, hence baby shampoo!

Washing up liquid should cut through the grease. It's what i normally use to clean my brushes as well as its antibacterial
