Tights falling down tip

I know that the real solution is to buy longer tights, but with existing tights or if you are at the top of the range length, if you get one of those freezer bag clips you can make the waistband tighter, or even attach your tights with it to your top.

Next longer length tights are fab.

Haffiana · 26/11/2019 12:39

Manzi tights from Amazon. Reinforced waist area makes them superior to Snag tights.

StarlightLady · 26/11/2019 13:35

Reinforced waist sections aren’t pretty though are they? Aesthetics have their place too.

MakeMineALarge1 · 26/11/2019 15:03

I do the knickers over trick
I do long days at work and I actually got a rash from my tights coming down and rubbing my inner thights, small pair of knicks over and no problems what so ever ( I dread being run over on the way home haha)

"Tightsup" belt. Works on leggings and jeans too.

Fochit · 26/11/2019 18:10

Am I the only one whose tog BT W don’t fall down Confused ?

Fochit · 26/11/2019 18:11

tights don’t

StarlightLady · 28/11/2019 14:45

Tights? Strapless bras even? One thing is certain, if Isaac Newton had been a woman, she would have been less concerned about those apples! She’d have other things to worry about! Grin

insertcleverusername · 28/11/2019 22:37

I buy the longest ones so I can hoist them up so high, they sit right under my bra band Blush Surely I'm not the only person that does this? Confused

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 28/11/2019 22:44

I’m short - tights still fall down sometimes! Mainly cheap Primark/Tesco ones. M&S silky ones are the best for staying put and washing endlessly. But mainly I like tights because they make my legs look good and keep my tummy in a bit.

groovergirl · 29/11/2019 00:59

Columbine. A brilliant New Zealand-made brand that has been around for decades. Their tights last for decades, too; I have some mid '90s pairs that I still wear, and they still stay up!

miri1985 · 29/11/2019 04:40

I have one of these myself and its so good that I've bought one for my Mum and one for my sister for Christmas. Its an elastic belt with a grippy interior that will keep tights, leggings, trousers etc on

Order Snag tights they are an absolute game changer. I am tall plus sized and clumsy you just put them on and forget about them. I ordered 3 pairs last year and 6 this year and all still going strong. I cleared out my tights draw and only wear Snag now and because they are so easy and comfortable to wear I wear dresses and skirts more now too.

sashh · 29/11/2019 05:08

Wear stockings? they stay up better than tights.

@JObriensbollox - I gave up on hold ups some years ago when l was on a business trip with 2 colleagues, walking along a busy high street and had no option but to remove both on the spot after one went for, what could only be described as a sprint, not even a walk.

@sashh - As mentioned earlier, I am a fairly regular stocking wearer. Although l switch to tights when it gets really cold.

Regular Stockings come with 2 extras in each packet. An unwelcome suggestion of sleaze and a free myth that they are uncomfortable. Lots of women have never worn them because they are uncomfortable! Grin Think about it.

With a good quality sussy belt such as Fantasie, as opposed to cheap tat made for the bedroom, you hardly know you have them on.

Of course you still have the winter draft issue, which is why l swap for those colder days.

Safety pin to bra

JumpyLiz · 29/11/2019 09:09

You can also use the tights clip to stop your frozen peas falling out all over your freezer HTH

Snag or Heist is the answer.

SauvignonBlanche · 29/11/2019 20:13

Snag!

GetUpAgain · 29/11/2019 20:16

Another vote for tights up belt.

sohypnotic · 29/11/2019 22:37

Another vote for snag, just ordered another 5 pairs today as I accidentally ran out of clean ones and had to wear another brand - it was hell.

LitteStarShine · 29/11/2019 22:39

Tights very rarely fall down due to the waist being too big, it's the legs not being long enough though. I love a good tip but I can't see how tightening the waistband will make the legs any longer Confused

TheWoodsareDarkandDeep · 29/11/2019 22:48

I guess it adds an extra force so that the tights are at full stretch rather than relaxed stretch. And attaching it to a top would mean it would stay up until the tights split!
