Max Mara coat sizing

Hi Can anyone help me with choosing the best size Max Mara coat. I have seen a couple of interesting ones on eBay they are 101801 type. In Isabel Marant coats I buy an FR40 because I like them a little oversize and I think IM clothes run a little small. In UK I am a size 10 wth 34"bust and am fairly flat chested and have 35" hips that translates into an IT 42? or IT 44? I want the coat oversize so am undecided whether to go IT 42 or IT44 . The measurements do not seem much help as an example an IT42 is said to be an FR40 and UK 12 and measures given for chest are 42" and another is an IT42 an FR40 is aUK 10 and measures 45". Even given different peoples measuring accuracies it seems off. Would the age of the coat vary the size ie the older ones giving a larger size and actually being a smaller coat I would like the coat to be an oversize fit on me. Help! Help! please many thanks

The icon coat comes in oversized so you probably need the IT42 but since it's still a current model just get yourself to a Max Mara or order it online and try it on to be sure, it's not a model that suits all body shapes, the sloping shoulders and tied up double breasted aren't always flattering. I don't look great in the icon coat at all where I usually find it difficult to look bad in pretty much any other Max Mara coat.

Their coats do run a bigger than they did 10-15 years ago IME but not a massive difference, especially in the coats it's more half a size difference than a full size, coats have a bit more leeway anyhow.
