I Need a Christmas party dress, help please?

Size 16/18, 5ft 7, Not expensive, £60 max . Something that will not look frumpy but won’t show all of my lumps and bumps. Also any recommendations for underwear / petticoat type undergarment that shapes and slims.

I have recommended this before and find it really flattering... nice thick material. Comes in black or a dark red or Green

Marks and Spencer shapewear full slip will smooth any lumps and bumps beneath a dress, and IMO is much more pleasant to handle when going to the loo than magic knickers

Thank you, I will have a look. Any other suggestions of dresses greatly appreciated as having a real confidence crisis as haven’t been out for over a year and feel very frumpy.

Oh yes I like that one floffel. I like reds, purple and blue. I don’t want to wear black. I’ve got a flabby belly so I need something to disguise it as I’m really self conscious of it.

In that case, do a search on velvet red dress and see what pops up - plenty around in lots of shops Op.
