Has anyone used this? Would you recommend it?

I've worn Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser for years and now they've fucked about with the formula and ruined it, I need something new.

I have pretty good skin so don't need coverage but do need tone evening out and a bit of glow.

Is CT style over substance though? I know previous threads have alluded to the packaging being the best thing about the brand.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe a "normal" tinted moisturiser and then sweep some hourglass ambient light over?

cloudybuns · 23/11/2019 15:51

Thanks both.

I was wondering about that stick thing Hmm

I have the Hourglass powder and absolutely love it.

I wonder if CT will give me a sample...

The bumf says it's a complexion booster, primer/highlighter...
I like it and wear it under tinted moisturiser

LokisLover · 23/11/2019 16:19

How about the nars tinted moisturiser. I love it and has suited my skin much better than the Laura mercier one

Itsautumn · 23/11/2019 16:58

Not worth the money in my opinion. And as mentioned the applicator is awful.
I bought a NYX tinted moisturiser on a whim and it’s really nice for ever day.

cloudybuns · 23/11/2019 17:09

I might try Nars. Can't be any worse than the new LM formula...

I don't like the applicator stick it is more like an eye shadow. I think she is overpriced as well

I don't like many CT products but I LOVE the flawless filter. I use it as a highlighter after foundation or BB cream. (I also really like the Dr Jart BB cream, might be worth giving that a go).

You should be able to get samples, I got some from the counter in John Lewis last year in little sachets.

I think it's fabulous stuff and the applicator works just fine for me. I just smear it on my cheeks and then use a brush to buff it in.

Alez · 24/11/2019 09:54

I wear it as a highlighter. I found that all over it gave me too much of a glow, but as a highlighter it's quite subtle so you look better but without necessarily being able to see that you're wearing highlighter if you see what I mean. For that type of thing the applicator works fine. However I bought it because I thought it would be a kind of glowy light foundation thing so it didn't work out how I wanted.

cloudybuns · 24/11/2019 13:10

Well it definitely seems like it's not the tinted moisturiser I was after Grin Thanks all.

I see they also do a Light Wonder foundation which is supposed to be a more sheer option than full on foundation so I might investigate that.

Definitely highlighter rather than tinted moisturiser. I love the nars tinted though, it's excellent and comes in a good pale shade for me
