Have oily skin so needs to have staying power.’

I get eyelash extensions & have been recommended these to prevent powder eye shadows settling in my lashes.

Bobbi Brown worked wonders for me.

I like the Charlotte Tilbury ones www.charlottetilbury.com/uk/product/colour-chameleon-bronzed-garnet

Different end of the budget from everyone else but ELF at Superdrug have a range - £5 and they literally do not shift.

All bronze and gold shades though.

Kiko are fab and don’t budge, much cheaper than Bobbi Brown too.

Lamentations · 23/11/2019 08:24

Bobbi Brown for me too. Re the oily eyelids, it's a common problem and is helped a bit by applying some pressed face powder with an eyeshadow brush as a base layer. Don't use a HD powder though as apparently nothing can stick to them.

I love the Laura Mercier ones - the only eye shadow I've ever had that doesn't end up all in my eye crease.

MillyMollie · 23/11/2019 10:19

ELF got a great write up recently. I can't remember who the trusted beauty writer was though.

GreyBird84 · 23/11/2019 14:45

Thanks very much for the suggestions.
I’ve ordered Kiko -buy 6 products get 3 free so thought it was worth a shot for the price of one Bobbi brown or Charlotte tilbury!

They have great shades too.
Thank you all.

Those elf ones certainly do have staying power. I tried the lightest colour one on the back of my hand the other day. Had a shower that night and when I was watching TV at about 9pm, noticed it was still there! Shock Shame there's on 4 shades.

GreyBird84 · 23/11/2019 16:19

Yes @WombleishOfTheThighs that was my problem I really wanted taupe / smokey shades.

I recently got this set from Bobbi Brown and I love it. For an everyday look I just use the nude but can also do a smokey eye using all three
