Help me style this skirt please, for christmas day!

I just bought this from eBay and want to wear it on Christmas Day. We are just having a quiet Christmas, family dinner etc, but I'll be seeing family I don't get the chance to see all that often, so I'd still like to look nice.

I am a size 16ish, tallish, apple shape and I tend to suit warm tones.

Can keep it simple with a black or white shirt tucked in, or a nice blue and white pinstrip top would look pretty.

Thanks! I like those, but they look quite summery and would definitely wear it with a breton tshirt and trainers in summer or possibly sandals and a white shirt.

I wonder how I can make it look more wintry though... I've gone for a 16 and I'm more of a 14 / 16, so I may be able to do a partial tuck with a very fine knit sweater as there may be some room at the waist.

I have got a merino red jumper from Uniqlo, which might work! I will try tucking it in at the front and maybe some chunky leather boots?

Any long sleeved sweater would look fine tucked in.

Ha! I dunno... I'm a SAHM so I don't get the chance to get glammed up very often ! It's the only thing I miss about my work tbh.

I'm tempted to get a dressy wrap top and wearing it with heels and micronet tights or similar...
