Charlotte Tilbury Powder Dupe

I recently bit the bullet and bought the Charlotte Tilbury pressed powder- and I love it. It's matifying, but adds a lovely sheen which really makes your face glow. I have oily skin so I've always powdered throughout the day, which usually leaves me a bit flat- this makes me so glowy and vibrant.

However, I've only had it a month and I've already hit pan. for £35 this seems ridiculous, so I am now on the look out for a dupe that either costs less or lasts longer.

Does anyone know of a pressed powder which makes you glow?

www.cosmopolitan.com/uk/beauty-hair/makeup/reviews/g4901/best-face-powder/?slide=9

have a read of that they mentione some cheaper ones.

Wow.. am I too old at 52 for a setting powder? I have fine lines and really haven't used a powder for years but my skin does still get oily. Will it look heavy on my aged skin?
If I was buying one I'd go for NYX. Their stuff is as good as MAC. cant spot the differ and for 9.00 I can handle that if it doesntbsuit.
Thanks for the recommendations

Beauty Pie One Powder Wonder.

Lola what makes you say that? does the article say that? if so i missed it!

Darklane · 20/11/2019 19:46

I like IT Cosmetics Bye Bye pores which comes in a pressed compact form as well as the loose but I am deathly pale & some find it too white.
Looking at the cosmopolitan link above though I’m liking the look of the Nyx & Collection ones, the latter sounds similar to the one you’re using. At that price worth a try!

Crikey OP I use mine every day and it lasts nearly 6 months!!!!

I know you asked about a dupe but I use the CT liquid foundation first with the powder over the top - that could be why mine last a lot longer (so I spend £70 every 6 months roughly) - maybe give that a go if you love it so much?

What about NYX? I l suppose I should say I ove NYX products. The quality is brilliant.
Or about old skin?

Miniloso · 21/11/2019 07:32

Beauty Pie One Powder Wonder. It’s gorgeous, lasts all day & subtly glowy.

Not that yours is old, obv x

I know, I love that powder so much but I also hit pan ridiculously quickly :(

I have not found an alternative but what I do is use a cheap mattifying powder and then just apply a tiny bit of the Charlotte Tilbury powder over the top.

lolaflores · 21/11/2019 16:48

It's just been my experiencence that some powders just look like they sit in my wrinkles. But an illuminated powder may be lighter. I am going to give the NYx a shot. I love CT but cant justify the cost at the moment. If I can get another layer of warm glow on my face I'll give it a shot.

Give Revolution ones a try. £5-£6 in Superdrug. I use the loose powder rather than pressed but I've found it very mattifying, I have oily skin and only need to top it up once or twice a day rather than the every couple of hours with other brands. It's not as chalky flat as others but you could always add a shimmer powder over the top if it's not glowy enough.

lolaflores · 23/11/2019 13:20

Well....wow. I bought the NYX one suggested below. Just had a test run on it and i am a total convert. Its light as a feather. Doesn't sit in my lines. G Ives a subtle glow without deadening my skin.
I adore it. And am very turned on by £9.00. For a minute there I was on CT website. I have her wonderglow foundation. Like a tinted moisturizer but is definitely there. And I highly recommend NYX skin veil. Better than Laura Mercier which I bought and regret.
In conclusion, deepest thanks for the recommendations. My skin has gone up a notch and isnt faded to nothing 2bhrs later xxx
