Is this ok for NYE black tie do?

Help. I normally live in jeans and a jumper so I'm a bit out of my comfort zone. Have bought this dress for a NYE black tie do. Haven't had a chance to try it on yet, but is it a bit OTT? If it helps I'm 5ft 8, size 8 and was thinking of black barely there sandals and a black clutch bag. Any opinions please?

Lol I was also wishing I had the figure for it Grin It’s pretty sexy so depends on your age and the crowd.

Justonedayatatime11 · 19/11/2019 18:01

I'm mid 30s, mixed crowd of all ages from 18 up!

Very glam 🧡 it

Well that's quite a leap from jeans and jumper- good on you, it's fabulous!

Ohyesiam · 19/11/2019 21:08

My only reservation would be having the figure for it, but it sounds like you have.
You ll look gorgeous and turn a few heads.
Happy New Year.

Oh wow, thanks for the lovely comments! I braved trying it on briefly and am pretty gobsmacked... now to pluck up the courage to actually leave the house in it on NYE!

Fabulous dress, have you thought about underwear? it looks to be backless not a problem if you have a relatively small chest, otherwise tape might come in to play.

Justonedayatatime11 · 21/11/2019 10:34

Very small of boob Grin so hoping a stick on bra and some tape will do the job!

Looks fab. You could always get a fitted black tuxedo jacket to wear over it until you warm up when you’re there.
