I am pretty rubbish with beauty stuff generally & don’t even have a proper skincare routine. Turning 54 next month & would like to start looking after myself a bit more. I am on a budget. My skin is combination & quite sensitive.

Anyone?

I like M & S Formula Absolute. If you have cash to splash, Filorga Sleep and Peel.

MrsSchadenfreude · 18/11/2019 22:25

And cleanse with Bioderma micellar water. The red one.

rainbowlou · 18/11/2019 22:33

I find anything with ‘anti wrinkle’ in actually dries my skin out.
I’ve tried so many moisturisers with all
kinds of promises and costs but always find my way back to using Astral which is cheap and does the job!

Ponks · 18/11/2019 23:35

Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Intense range is excellent, and there are always 3 for 2 offers on. Plus some good Christmas gifts with smaller sizes of things to try. Also get a decent cleanser eg Body Shop camomile balm to remove makeup.

Ponks · 18/11/2019 23:37

Slightly cheaper is the Boots Lift range which feels really nice, I've used the day and night creams plus the eye cream.

SpeckledyHen · 19/11/2019 07:26

Nivea Soft day and Blue Tin night .
You will be amazed.

MissKittyBeaudelais · 19/11/2019 12:01

Try Holland & Barrett Dr Organic Collagen Cream with Black Pearl.

This ..... On offer ATM. I think it’s excellent.

@misskitty - how much is it atm please?

@Bunnylady53... I bough some yesterday. It’s £18.99 and a second is half price. You get 50ml.

I rarely buy products several times over. This, I like well enough to stockpile 😉

DragonontheWagon · 19/11/2019 12:48

Slightly more budget friendly is the Boots no7 lift and luminate range. They have the whole kit half price at £58 I think it is at the moment.

Definitely buy some hyaluronic acid, it makes my skin feel beautiful. The Ordinary one is fine for me at £5.01 a bottle in Boots at the moment too.

MinesaPinot · 19/11/2019 13:05

I'm 57 and I'm going back to L'Oreal Laser Renew day and night once I've finished my Estee Lauder day and night cream.

Sticking with the Estee Lauder Night Repair though.

MikeUniformMike · 19/11/2019 13:19

Older people I know really rate the Aldi stuff. It's cheap but they rave about it.

NaToth · 19/11/2019 13:22

Olay sensitive Day Cream and Astral at bedtime. Total outlay about £10.
Slap it on!

MissKittyBeaudelais · 19/11/2019 18:47

The Dr Organic cream has Hyaluronic acid in it 😉

madmumofteens · 19/11/2019 19:13

I use the Aldi range caviar ones I'm 50+ and I have tried so many expensive ones and it's brilliant

Bilingualspingual · 19/11/2019 19:15

Also take a look at Beauty Pie. It’s like a cash and carry for skincare, so it’s a monthly fee but then everything is posh and cheap. I like the Japanfusion stuff. This may be too much of a commitment for you if you’re just looking for a couple of creams though.

Apileofballyhoo · 20/11/2019 17:36

Get yourself a good SPF that you're happy to wear every day.
