Hair issue

I can manage to achieve a flawless hairstyle in the
Mornings but 1 hour later and after going outside it flops, I get a cows lick and it looks awful. What's the secret to holding the style or preventing it completely flopping like this?

What does your hair naturally want to do and are you trying to stop it? Ie you can soften frizz, straighten curls, but a cow lick is like the grain in wood, hard to shift.

With the flopping, you could try and up the ante with the hairspray you use? I really like the Lee Stafford one as it seems to hold styles in place all day. Also, I find using a tiny bit of salt spray on my wet hair before styling makes things last a lot longer.

The cowslick is a different matter, I feel your pain. With mine, it's all about the initial blowdry - I actually pull those bits of hair forward and down and direct the heat at the roots in a way that is sometimes a bit painful (!) but it's the only way to stop it popping back up later in the day. Straightening them doesn't seem to work but making sure I dry the front of my hair first and pulling them into position does! My friend also puts a beanie hat on once she's dried the front of her hair to flatten the cowslick down. Bane of my life!
