Perfect, flattering boot hunt

I’d love some ankle boots I can wear with thick tights and dresses but I have extremely thick calves so need ultra flattering boots but just can’t find them. I’m thinking the main factors to take into account are:

• a low front to elongate the leg
• a medium heel to further lift, but 2” max otherwise I won’t be able to walk.

Unfortunately I also have wide feet and high insteps & arthritis so tend to go for wide/comfort type ranges. Also have a preference for burgundy or navy or grey but I think black would be ok on this occasion. No set budget.

Has anyone seen anything that fits the bill please?

If you are planning to where black ankle boots with thick black tights, you needn't worry too much about the 'low front to elongate the leg' as the tights and boots will merge anyway and will be more flattering than other coloured boots with black tights. . Just don't go for anything that squeezes you around the ankle. And perhaps a wedge bootie as they also have the effect of making your legs look longer

I have wide feet and high insteps and find these very comfy . They go well with thick tights and dresses. I have thick calves too and worried about boots of this length but I don’t think my legs look any worse in them than other ankle boots- and they are warm and comfy
