What would you wear??

I didn't know where to post this and maybe it would be better in work, not sure.
I'm starting a new job tomorrow where I will wear a uniform all the time but as tomorrow is a company induction and then going to my new work in the afternoon what would you wear? I've been told not to wear my uniform.

What sort of industry?

NHS

Smart casual then. Black trousers, comfy shoes and a plain top.

At my trust, dress code for induction is 'business casual' for induction. Something like black jeans, top and boots should be fine.

I work in the NHS and when I went for my induction I wore a smart/cas dress, tights and boots and was the most overdressed person there by miles. Most people were wearing jeans and t/shirts. I think it's good to look smart on the first day tho! It was 3 days so I went more casual for the next two days
