Need a gym/work bag

I've just joined the gym which is near my place of work so my plan is to either go to the gym in the morning, or after work. I need a bag that will fit trainers, gym clothes, towel, make up bag, lunch, water bottle, phone, notebook, pens...nothing unusual.

Ideally a backpack as I have to walk 15 mins to work and back. I love the Sweaty Betty all sport one but the reviews aren't great for the price. But it seems roomy, has lots of pockets and looks beautiful. So something similar- ideally black with gold zips, and being quilted is a bonus.

Budget- £70 max! Thanks all!

I’m looking for the same thing...

Wolfiefan · 17/11/2019 22:02

I love workplay bags but may well be out of budget. They are amazing though. Organised, comfortable to carry and durable. And no. I don’t work for them!!!

BrassicaBabe · 17/11/2019 22:06

Have a google for Roko LONDON. Maybe you like those?

BrassicaBabe · 17/11/2019 22:07

Oh. And I've got a SB one. It's crap because the clasp doesn't stay down with anything heavier than a pack of tissues Hmm

RagingBall · 17/11/2019 22:25

I love the Mia tui Sydney backpacks

Have a look at www.Madlug.com they do lovely gym bags and for every bag you buy, one is also given to a child in care. Let me know if you want a 10% discount code. A great company to support that helps the children I work with.

Have a look at this OP- ignore that it is a changing bag- I was recommended it by a friend and I absolutely LOVE it . It is waterproof and inside loads of pockets- so roomy, well balanced and light. I have a 35 minute walk to work and even loaded up it doesn't feel heavy at all

I’ve seen a few people with Knomo backpacks and they look great. Pricey though and I don’t know what size I’d need.

The Roka ones look nice but I’m looking for a bag that looks a bit smarter as it will come to work with me every day(corporate environment). Will defer to the OP though as it’s their thread!

This looks promising:
www.johnlewis.com/kin-sette-tote-backpack-black/p3763329
And the reviews are great.

The workplay and madlug ones are too colourful/casual for what I want and I already have rucksacks that aren’t dissimilar.

crochetmonkey74 · 18/11/2019 09:58

I got a Knomo and had to return - it was gorgeous but a bit too slimline for bulky stuff

I was disappointed as I had wanted it for ages!

1984in2019 · 18/11/2019 13:13

That’s a pity crochetmonkey74- which one did you get?
My worry is they are maybe designed more for laptops whereas I need one for gym kit.

crochetmonkey74 · 18/11/2019 13:43

I got the Beaufort

It was exactly that- slim deep pockets for laptop etc but trainers, bottle, umbrella made it too bulky. I never expected to be happy with he one I linked above- but honestly it is excellent!

runwithme · 18/11/2019 17:43

This great, thanks all for replying! Love gnomo bags but they are out of NG budget so glad to hear that they aren't suitable!

Funny enough, I've bought a baby change bag for when I had to lug a laptop around. Sadly it's too narrow for what I wont. The one a PP linked to looks wider though, and it's quite nice. Also like the John Lewis one.
Love the charity bag, and I'm looking for a present for DN so that might tick a box there.

Some of them are lovely but not quite smart enough but I really appreciate the time taken to post.

Definitely not getting the SB one now!
